About Nameak
Nameak is a startup name generator that turns a few keywords or a one-line business description into 20 to 200 brandable name ideas, checks whether the matching domains are registered using the registries’ own RDAP services, and opens the official USPTO and WIPO trademark searches for each name.
Who Nameak is for
Founders, product teams and agencies who need a name they can actually use: one that is easy to say, has a registrable domain and is worth taking to a trademark search. The name Nameak (pronounced NAH-meek) blends “name search” and “peak”.
What Nameak does
- Generates 20 to 200 names per search from up to five keywords (each with alternatives) or a one-line description, in eight naming styles and ten industry presets.
- Gives every name a pronunciation guide, an explanation of how it was built and a brandability score from 0 to 100 that you can inspect factor by factor.
- Checks domain registration for .com, .ai, .io, .net and seven more extensions with the registries themselves, and lets you add any other public extension.
- Opens the official trademark searches with the name already copied, and lets you record what you found next to each result.
- Lets you favorite, filter, sort and export your shortlist as TXT or CSV.

Where the data comes from
- Domain registration: each registry’s RDAP service, found through the IANA RDAP bootstrap file; registry-operated RDAP for .io and .us; the registry WHOIS for .co. No third-party availability APIs, no registrar affiliate links.
- Trademarks: the USPTO Trademark Search for the United States and the WIPO Global Brand Database for international marks. Nameak links to them; it does not copy or rank their records.
- Names: generated on Nameak’s servers from your keywords and from word lists and classical roots written for this project.
The rules Nameak follows
- Never guess. If a registry can’t answer authoritatively, the result says “Unverified” or “Verification unavailable”, never “available”.
- Never charge for uncertainty. A domain check costs 2 credits only when the registry confirms the domain is registered; every other outcome is free.
- Never claim legal clearance. Trademark research is a starting point for a conversation with a qualified attorney.
- No ads and no tracking cookies; only cookieless, aggregate visit counts. See the Privacy Policy.
